For synchronous motors, WEM provides an exciter field power supply (EFPS) assembly that delivers adjustable excitation to the synchronous motor's brushless exciter field. The EFPS comprises control and power devices mounted and prewired on a steel insert panel. This panel is typically installed in a customer-supplied enclosure, although WEM can also provide enclosures tailored to customer specifications. Additionally, automatic VAR/PF controllers are available as needed.

WEM also offers a "Universal Tester" designed for troubleshooting and testing solid-state excitation components mounted on synchronous motor revolving rectifier wheels. This includes components such as Sync-RiteTM control and filter, diodes, and SCR's (silicon-controlled rectifiers).
