The Duraguard™ Insulation System is employed in constructing stator windings for motors and generators manufactured by WEG Electric Machinery. It operates as a Class F insulation system, accommodating a voltage range from 1,000 to 15,000 volts. DuraguardTM is a hermetically sealed insulation system, successfully passing the water immersion test in accordance with NEMA, IEEE, and API standards. All coils are meticulously wound and insulated with glass-reinforced mica tape. Subsequently, these coils are inserted into the stator core, connections are established and insulated, while the ends of the coils are secured and tied for reinforcement. The entire stator undergoes vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) within an epoxy resin.
